Description: Here is a very rare Longines duo doctors watch in a fully working condition with the expected age commensurate wear to the case and to the dial. These were made to rival the Prince models of the time. The watch has some engraving on the rear, dating the watch to 1940. Case--Solid 18kt gold with a snap on, clamshell type case, 14/15mm lug width. Engraving on the caseback Dial--Original silvered signed dial, Duo dial, Arabic hour markers in black, blue anodised hands Movement--Longines signed manual calibre, Cal 942, fully working and keeping very good time to within a few seconds of accuracy a day. This is a very collectible timepiece and only very limited numbers are out there. The gold cases were solid cases and not flimsy bits of metal. These are well built timepieces. Genuine interest highly appreciated.
