Description: This is a large, heavy hand-engraved antique sterling silver souvenir spoon from Los Angeles, California, which is hand-engraved in the goldwashed bowl It is about 5-3/4" long and is from around 1903, as is hand-engraved on the back. The handle shows scenes from around California, including a giant Sequoia tree and gold panning. It weighs about 30.2 grams of sterling silver, over an ounce, an excellent investment. Maker's marks: "Sterling 925/1000" with the old fancy T hallmark used by Towle, a prominent American company. Engraving: On the back of the handle "1903 JC to BLH", nice gift!.
