For your consideration is this SCARCE and authentic UNUSED WWII era vintage 1943 LOUIS SCHOEN'S Old Lager Beer, Wausau, Wisconsin, 8.0 fl. oz. beer bottle "I-R-T-P" Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE (Internal Revenue Tax Paid) paper label. Note, the "I.R.T.P." was required on all beer labels produced between 1933 to 1950. Authentic UNUSED vintage Schoen’s Beer bottle paper labels in this condition are rarely encountered outside of private breweriana collections. Please note; I chose to be conservative in my description and elected to list this beautiful ORIGINAL 80+ year old paper beer bottle label as being “used” strictly because of its age and the fact it has been handled over the years. In all honesty, and as can easily be confirmed in the description photos, this label has NEVER BEEN GLUED OR AFFIXED to the side of any beer bottle. Refer to all the description photos for more details. The label is made out of paper and measures approximately 4.25” long by 3.25” wide. Refer to description photos #19 and #20 to confirm the overall size of the label and for more details about what I have described. The bottle paper label remains in remarkably good to excellent condition, especially for being over 80 years old. The label features multi-colored graphics and advertising print on one side and a smooth blank tan colored reverse where the adhesive would have been applied in order to affix the label to the side of the bottle. Refer to description photo #2 to verify the condition of the reverse side of the label. All the colors on the front side of the label remain vibrant and the graphics and advertising print are clearly legible. The four corners on the paper label remain flat and sharp with NO creases, curled and/or dog eared corners. The label is clearly printed with the “COPYRIGHT” date of “1943” along the upper LEFT corner of the label. Refer to description photos #1, #4, #6, #16 and #21 for more details about what I have described. As the description photos visibly illustrate, this vintage beer bottle paper label has NEVER BEEN USED. Despite its age, the label remains in very clean and unadulterated condition showing very little, if any, wear or excessive handling. It is clearly evident this Schoen’s Beer bottle paper label has NEVER BEEN USED and/or APPLIED TO THE SIDE OF A BOTTLE. This fact can easily be confirmed by the noticeable absence of any adhesive glue residue on the reverse side of the label and the near pristine condition of the printed graphics on the front side of the paper label itself. Overall, this WWII era vintage 1943 Louis Schoen’s Old Lager Beer bottle paper label remains in very good overall condition. This condition Schoen’s Beer paper label is a sought after piece of breweriana and any collector would appreciate acquiring the piece to add to their beer memorabilia collection and display.
