Description: Estate find with a bunch of other vintage necklaces! This is the first time that I have ever seen in person a DEAUVILLE necklace! At first glance, I was hoping that it was a Vendome piece because it strongly resembled a Vendome made necklace or choker. I was also hoping that the beads would’ve been glass. The beads are all plastic and it is DEAUVILLE! These chokers/necklaces were predominantly made in the 50s and 60s and this particular style was known as a resort necklace with the favorite colors worn at resorts like the one in the Catskills!! The kind of resort that you would’ve seen in the movie Dirty Dancing! And the nice thing about the beads being plastic is that this choker is very lightweight , so it would not be heavy on your neck! It’s really pretty- prettier in person and the lighting in my office didn’t quite catch the correct coloring of the necklace especially the pictures that were done on the black velvet display neck. Those pictures make it look very orange. The coloring is a little more accurate in the pictures on the manilla background. please view all of my photos and please ask any questions prior to buying this really pretty necklace!
