MARBLE'S USA vintage 6-inch blade IDEAL hunting knife, original leather sheath

Description: Vintage circa 1930th-1940th Marble's IDEAL hunter made in Gladstone, MI. Marble's was one of the best US makers of hunting knives since 1898. The knife is about 10" / 25.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5-7/8" / 15 cm; vintage "roller coaster" logo on ricasso. The blade has been cleaned and re-sharpened; it's razor-sharp still; the tip is intact. Stacked leather washers with colored fiber-n-brass spacers handle, aluminum pommel & brass half-guard; all parts are tight. My guess is that originally it was a double-hilt Ideal but some idiot with a grinder had rounded it off to half-guard shape. Brass guard looks a little off; it has some grinding marks on both sides; see photos. Original sheath is well-used with one cut at the throat; the keeper is damaged near the snap. But overall it is in usable condition still. This 6-inch blade Ideal was made during the "golden era" of Marble's history; it's an excellent quality knife. The knife is about 10" / 25.5 cm overall; the blade is about 5-7/8" / 15 cm long; vintage "roller coaster" Mãrble's / Gladstone / MICH. U.S.A. logo on ricasso. The blade has been cleaned and re-sharpened; it's razor-sharp still; the tip is intact.
