Description: Rare 1980s red silk shift dress from Michael Novarese features a dropped waist, pleated skirt, and fabulous pleated bishop sleeves. The dress can be worn like a shift or with the matching belt. Pleated sleeves create very full bishop sleeves at the cuffs. Shoulders are padded, and the dress is fully lined in red silk. Closure is with three white spherical buttons; the second column of buttons are decorative only. The side and back photos were taken without the belt. No size label is present, but modern sizing tables indicate that the dress is in the 14-16, or XL, range.
