Description: This listing is an add-on service request when you order an LSI HBA card from my store. This add-on service request will modify the HBA you order by blocking the SMBus B5 B6 pins with high temperature Kapton tape. This helps to improve compatibility of some OEM brand LSI HBA SAS controllers like the Dell, Lenovo, or IBM cards. This is only necessary if you anticipate your motherboard might have an SMBus conflict and you want to avoid the problem. These conflicts occur especially with Gigabyte or HP computers, but the problem is not exclusive to those brands. This add-on service is for ONE SMBus modification.
