C&P Distributing Purchased these Marquees from Aladdin's Castle in the mid-90s. They were removed from games within the first four years of the Mortal Kombat release date when they were converted to something else. Since then, they've been stored in a climate-controlled warehouse for nearly 30 years, and this is the first time we have handled or moved them. On the back side, there is some yellowing from the fluorescent or incandescent light, as with almost every marquee from that era, which was caused by the heat generated from the lights used to illuminate the translite material. In general, for their age, these are in much better-than-average condition. Worth Noting: Ed Boon, game designer and voice artist, was very influential in the Mortal Kombat games. John Tobias and Ed Boon co-designed Mortal Kombat from the ground up. Together, John, a gifted graphic designer, and Ed, a talented programmer, changed the gaming world forever. While John developed the characters and storyline, Ed was the sole programmer through Mortal Kombat 3. Without Ed Boon teaming up with John Tobias, Mortal Kombat would have never existed. Dan Forden, a gifted sound programmer, worked on the team that created all the sounds and is recognized for the Easter egg appearances. Tony Goskie created the special effects that make the game so realistic.
