Description: Edgar Mittelholzer My Bones and My Flute London: Secker & Warburg, 1955. First edition. 8vo (5 in x 7½ in). 222 pages. "A Ghost Story In The Old-Fashioned Manner" set in British Guiana. Quite scarce in hardcover; rare in dust jacket. Good in boards and a good only dust jacket. A neat ownership name and date is written in ink on the top right corner of the free front endpaper. The boards are lightly bumped at the corners, as is the top of the spine. There is a slight lean to the spine. The dust jacket is sunned at the spine, worn at the extremities, and is missing a 1" x 1" chip at the base of the spine. The dust jacket is protected in a mylar wrapper that was removed to better photograph it for this listing. The provided images are digital photographs that were taken with an iPhone 12. They have not been retouched or adjusted in any way, other than being cropped. As a long-time bibliophile, I know how important the edition and condition of an item are to a serious collector.
