Description: You are looking at a Hand made Native American Peace pipe. If purchased you will receive the exact pipe and stem shown in the photos. It is brand new, fully functional, never been blessed and has not been smoked. It Would work well for a personal prayer peace pipe or make a fine addition to any collection. This pipe bowl is small, large enough for one or maybe two people to smoke from. Special care will be needed when inserting the stem into the bowl. It is designed to only be inserted as far as the fitted marks on the stem and no further. This pipe was made out of Italian Alabaster which is white-ish color and has naturally occurring tissues that run through out the stone. Once finished it is rubbed with an oil to make it shine. Some alabaster you can almost see though when it is held up to light, and because of that translucent appearance in spots looks really cool when you smoke it because of the glow in the bowl. This particular stone does NOT hold up as well to heat as the other stones I use. I would recommend only using this for special occasions. This is a plains style “T” bowl. The bowl itself measures 2-1/4 inches long and stands 1-3/4 inches tall. The pine stem alone measures 6 inches long. It is burned to high light the natural beauty of the wood grain. The stem is sealed tight to the bowl when connected with no air leaks. It is left plain so the buyer may decorate it how ever they choose to. The exterior of the stem is burned to highlight the natural beauty of the wood grain. I have pictures of pipe and stem joined together to show you that it is drilled straight. My stems are designed only to be inserted into the pipe up to the fitting marks on the stem allowing a space between the pipe bowl and the shoulders of the stem. These pipes can be fragile special care is needed when inserting the stem. The total length of the pipe bowl and stem when connected is 8 inches long. The pipe is signed “Loud Thunder” as that is my given Indian name. I am a 5th generation Pipe maker, a lineal descendant of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Tribe although not enrolled myself. I’m happy to send any additional photos or answer any questions. I do have several listings at this time and will also take personal orders done through eBay. The state of Minnesota will assess a sales tax when purchased. This is out of my control and I do not profit from it. Thanks for looking!
