Description: NOS Vintage City of L.A. Los Angeles Survey Marker Brass Surveying Bench Mark. Pretty rare as we don't see many L.A. City items like this. This was found at a yard sale in Los Alamitos, CA. The man that lived there (now deceased) was a Surveyor for L.A. City for something like 40 years and retired 20 or 30 years ago, so there's no telling what year this is from. This was found in with his tools etc. in the garage. It's 1-1/2" in diameter and the spike (?) is 2" long. It states on the head, " CITY of L.A. SURVEY" with "PBM" (precise benchmark), stamped beneath it. Thank you in advance. Karin
