Description: This is a real deal factory AM FM Stereo radio for 1969 Ford Mustangs and Mercury Cougar. The model number is 9FBZ. This radio was made specifically for 1969 Mustang and Cougars and was a factory installed option. It is also the same as 1968 and 1970 Mustangs and Cougars other than the knobs and Cougar/Mustang callout on the lens on 1970 models. This is the real deal! This radio is in good original condition as shown. . I see no breaks, modifications, or repairs to this radio. The dial is in very good shape as shown. The lens is clean with no cracks, yellowing, or repairs and would look even better with some cleaning. All pushbuttons and dials work as they should. The case of the radio is in good condition with the factory decals and ink stampings still intact as shown. The wiring is in great shape with the factory connector on the power/lamp wires and plenty of length on the speaker wires. This is simply a very nice factory AM FM Stereo radio. This radio has been tested and plays loud and clear on both AM and FM bands. Both channels play loud and clear. The only thing I noticed that is not functioning is the stereo indicator lamp in the upper right hand side of the dial. I imagine this either needs a new bulb or adjustment. After decades of cool dry storage this radio should be serviced before installation to ensure trouble free use. I took a video of this radio being tested.
