Original 1965 KISN Super Hit Surveys Portland Oregon 910 on Your Dial, Good Guys

Description: Original 1965 KISN Super Hit Surveys Portland Oregon 910 on Your Dial, Good Guys Vintage KISN  Super Hit Surveys910 on your AM radio dial, Portland, Oregon A great birthday gift for that Boomer in your life! Here are some fine vintage and nostalgic 1965 Super Hit Surveys from Portland's one and only KISN.  From a time when the British Invasion was in full force and The Beatles made their only appearance in Portland on August 22, 1965(Yes, I was there, but remember almost nothing of it)Most of the music in the air was pretty good and the Summer of Love was dawning....But the Real Don Steele had gone south and most of the steady DJ crew that had been known as the KISN Good Guys (or The Swinging Gentlemen) were gone and there was a huge churn of talent behind the mike.  Guys were moving up and moving on.  Boss Radio was dominating urban programing and KISN was a fertile incubator and still a hot spot on the dial, but the end was nearing.  Pat Pattee was still holding down the Nightshift and some of the names that were passing through were to become famous elsewhere: Peter Hunnington May, Dick Saint, and Frank Benny (the bank robber!), for example.  But none will ever touch what KISN was just one year earlier when The Real Don declared himself Emperor of Portland and added the month of Donald to the calendar so we could have more summertime. (And, yes, she was alive!) I am offering each of the following KISN Super Hit Surveys individually.  *STATE YOUR CHOICE (BY DATE) AT CHECKOUT PLEASE1)  December 20-26, 19642) December 27, 1964-January 2, 19653) January 31-February 5, 19654) February 13-19, 19655) February 27-March 5, 19656) March 21-27, 19657) April 4-10, 19658) April 11-17, 19659) April 25-May 1, 196510) May 30-June 5, 196511) August 8-14, 1965STATE YOUR CHOICE (BY DATE) AT CHECKOUT PLEASECheck them out and If you grew up during this era, you will be flooded with memories.  And, I am willing to bet that you will find some songs on these lists that you never heard of (or don't remember?).  This bunch's condition is mostly pretty good and some are excellent. There is some dog-earing, pin holes, folds, fading, and occasional markings here and there. See the PhotosThese are all from my personal collection and have been saved for you at a moment like this.*I have three other batches of these Fab Fifty's covering 1962, 1962, and 1964 in my store.  (And, if you are looking for The Real Don Steele, that's where he's at.)https://www.ebay.com/str/portlandpandemonium/1960s-America-Boss-Radio/_i.html?store_cat=38704221017 If Ever a Time Could Be Called "Groovy"The 60's Would Be It! I graduated High School and entered College in 1965 and it doesn't get any more "Sixties" than that. Just as today is the era of technology and instant connection, the 60's were an era of social consciousness and mind expansion. It seems to be the most popular choice for people when asked what era they would like to return to ("The Summer of Love"), LOL and OMG! It's not coming back, and it doesn't have to come back, because it already thoroughly informs and drives our culture as we live it today! So, just remember the next time you are tempted to say "Okay, Boomer..." to someone who looks old, that the 60's were our gift to all you wanna-be hippies and smoothies out there! But, if you'd like some relics and artifacts from that very busy decade you will always find some of the odd-ball & quirky things that came out of it here at Portland Pandemonium 60's Shop.Revisit us often as we restock frequently. https://www.ebay.com/str/portlandpandemonium/1960s-America-Boss-Radio/_i.html?store_cat=38704221017We Will Scratch Your Vintage Itch Listing and template services provided by inkFrog
