Description: Original STAN POCIECHA PORAY "Bellini" STILL LIFE OIL PAINTING antique 1930's vintage XLNT wow! Fresh from an estate and offered for purchase is this original oil painting by Kim Stanislaus Pociecha Poray (1888-1948.) Born in Krakow, Poland in 1888, Stanislaus Pociecha Poray was the son of the Polish landscape painter and nobleman Count Michael Poray. Poray emigrated to the United States in 1921 and settled permanently in Los Angeles. He travelled extensively working in France and elsewhere in the U.S., and had many solo exhibitions. This lovely still life painting is titled "BELLINI" and is a painting-within-a-painting featuring Giovanni Bellini's 1480 "Portrait of a Young Man in Red" in the background. It has great colors and good composition, and is in its original frame. It is signed at the lower left "STAN POCIECHA PORAY," and it's also signed and titled on the back. Dimensions of the painting are 21" wide x 24" tall, and outside dimensions of the frame are 30" x 33-3/4." Condition of the painting is excellent except for a small scrape on one apple (see close-up photo.) The frame has some minor chips, scrapes, and nicks which could easily be touched up if desired. The painting may benefit from a little cleaning, but I have left it as found. A nice addition to any wall or collection... Shipping will be via USPS or Fedex Ground.
