Description: Orlando: A Biography, Virginia Woolf, The Hogarth Press, 1949, First Edition, Sixth Impression Said to be one of the author's most popular novels, this is a biography inspired by the family history of her real-life friend Vita Sackville-West. The story spans over four hundred years where Orlando's life changes from man to woman, from century to century. There is an owner's book plate to the rear of the front board. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine quite bright. The end papers and pages are free from tears. There is some foxing to the front and back end papers. The top edge retains its original green tint. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with marks to the front cover, nibbling to the top and bottom edges of the darkened spine, marks to the back cover, a small tear to the top edge of the back cover and small loss to the bottom edge of the back cover. Will be dispatched carefully wrapped in bubblewrap and a cardboard box.
