There is some rust on inside of piece that holds the socket, but is barely visible (see photo 21). This rust does not interfere with function. When made, one of the shades tends to be a bit wider, so we made a video on how to insert shade. Essentially, place nail through hole and *gently* insert shade into place from right side to left side. Do not insert from top to bottom. Taken out of Bungalow house from the 1930's.
