PLAYTRONIC VARIANT - NES Disney's DuckTales 2 Complete Nintendo BRAZIL USA GAME

Description: For sale is an EXTREMELY RARE Ducktales 2 South American Brazilian complete in box game! Authentic! RARE USA / Playtronic VARIANT. Playtronic was Brazil’s official importer of Nintendo games approved and licensed by Nintendo! Playtronic was governed by Nintendo of America, and often, USA games were repackaged in Brazilian packaging to be sold in Brazil. This particular Ducktales 2 was intended as such, and as you can see, there is a Brazilian label fixed over the USA label on the back of the cart! The carts were imported, and Playtronic (a licensed partner with Nintendo) Produced the packaging entirely in Portuguese for the Brazil market. Pretty obscure history! The box is heavily worn, and one small inner fap and a portion of the top flap is missing. Manual is in good shape with no writing inside. Other than that, it is 100% a USA cartridge, with USA front label and standard release USA board. Tested and working! Label has some scuffs as shown and isn’t perfect - cartridge also has some scuffs / discoloring as shown - however, for something to survive Brazil (especially since very few of these were sold down there) is a pretty cool piece of history. You will very likely NEVER see one of these for sale ever again, given how few of these were sold in Brazil from USA supply, and the fact paperwork seldomly survived down there. Video games are an expensive luxury in South America, and even today, they pay 2-3x the price for items than we do in the USA. I bet there are more sealed USA Ducktales 2’s than Ducktales 2 Brazilian manuals alone in existence. The manual is EXTREMELY tough to find. Free shipping in the USA, extra cost for international.
