Description: This auction is for a used and clean POULAN 2900 CHAINSAW. This 46cc engine displacement chainsaw is in very good physical condition with no physical damage. It has been completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected and rebuilt. This very strong compression 46cc engine runs excellently with fine idle, strong acceleration and solid top end. The anti-vibration system on the saw is excellent ... nothing damaged or broken. This is a very low operating hour chainsaw ... limited use. No parts are defective or worn-out. The starting price is very good for a new engine chainsaw. This chainsaw was "Made in USA" via Husqvarna (they own Poulan) ... it is not a Chinese sourced Craftsman chainsaw. I am not a fan of Chinese "designed" saws as they are usually a cheap clone of another manufacturer with noticeably inferior quality. The chainsaw is free from damage and abuse ... very nice looking saw ... but it is used. There are no component cracks or chipped items. The body will have marks and scuffs from previous use, but nothing to affect performance. It's a very good running saw for the starting price, but it is NOT new. I apologize ... but I cannot accept returns. It is simply too expensive to allow returns due to cosmetic issues when the saw runs great. It is NOT a "new" chainsaw ... and you are not paying a "new" price ... so please be realistic in your expectations. If there is a real problem with the chainsaw which was caused by my actions, I will resolve the issue. The Phelon ignition module has been replaced and produces a strong blue-white spark to the factory specified Champion CJ7Y copper core spark plug. It has a rebuilt Walbro WT carburetor. It is set at 1.5 turns open from the lightly seated position on the LO speed jet and 1.5 turns on the HI speed jet. Generally, the factory setting is approximately 1.5 turns open on each jet depending upon the carburetor model. All adjustments are performed with a simple small flat tip screwdriver ... works for the idle speed as well. The fuel system tubing has been replaced with new Tygon top quality fuel lines. Both fuel and air filters are new. NOTE: It is both common and generally expected that rebuilt chainsaw carburetors will need some tuning based on their operating environment. I don't think this saw will need much, perhaps just a 1/8~1/4 turn at most on either fuel jet or idle speed screw. Make sure the saw is warm before you attempt any tuning. The saw has been equipped with a new 18" CRAFTSMAN (OREGON) reversible sprocket nose guide bar and new OREGON semi-chisel chain. The bar/chain specifications are 0.325" pitch, 0.050" gauge and 72 drive links. The cutting combination is strong and durable. The spur type drive sprocket had only the typical wear from low use and the needle bearing has been fully relubricated. The factory supplied bucking spike is included. The starter recoil assembly had been fully disassembled, inspected and re-assembled and operates perfectly. The muffler is excellent with all internal baffles. The oil and fuel caps are leak-tight. The pictures also tell the story of the saw's condition ... please review them closely. I will ship this chainsaw to any domestic USA address using USPS Priority Mail (eBay Preferred Shipper) based on an actual shipping weight of 17 lbs. But honestly, I am not the biggest fan of USPS due to their poor service. If I can use a better alternate carrier with improved service (at no extra cost to the buyer), I may use the alternate as USPS does not have user friendly hours.
