Description: A 'Gosport Tube' was a voice tube used by flight instructors in pre WWII and just post WWII. They were used in leather flying helmets for communicating in open cockpit flying of military aviation to give instructions and directions to their students. This “Gosport Set” comes complete with one mouthpiece, two earpieces, one “Y” fitting all made of Bekelite. In addition the set has two each one foot long hoses to the earpieces plus a six foot hose connecting earpieces to mouthpiece. It also has a leather lace which is for holding the mouthpiece in place around the instructors neck. I got these from an old WWII era aircraft parts collector/dealer who went out of business years ago. These sets look like the hoses were replaced with “fresh” rubber and "fresh" leather lacing. Even though there are no identifying numbers or marks on the earpieces or mouthpiece, I believe those are original pre WWII era made parts.
