Description: A glorious antique Edwardian 18K gold diamond and ruby stars ring, hallmarked to 1906. This beautiful nicely weighted solid 18K yellow gold three-gemstone ring has all the wonderful quality expected of Edwardian era jewelry with a central glittering old cut natural diamond flanked by two glowing pinkish red natural rubies, each stone prong set into eye catching deeply engraved star settings-just fantastic! The ring has full English hallmarks with maker 'S.B&S. Ld' for Simon Blanckensee & Son, the crown for gold, '18', the Birmingham anchor and date letter 'g' for 1906. The ring tests for 18K gold. The ring is approximately a size 7 1/2. The ring measures approximately 14mm x 5mm across the star settings and is about 7.2mm at its widest point. The diamond and rubies measure about 2mm across. The ring rises about 2mm above the finger and weighs approximately 4.1 grams. The ring is in general very good condition with light wear to the setting and stones. Seen under a loupe one of the rubies has a tiny fleabite to one edge. The ring has been resized. Thanks for looking and please take a look at my other items!
