In the center of the base is the earliest mark used by Jeffords, an impressed diamond mark. Jeffords is known for the high quality yellow ware they produced throughout their existence and their pottery is highly collectible. The nappy measures 8 ½” in diameter by 2 ½” high. The inside of the nappy is speckled with Rockingham glaze from another piece of pottery nearby in the kiln during firing. The nappy is in original mint condition with no damage or repairs. Nappies in this original mint condition are difficult to find and are highly sought after.
