Description: Vintage 1991 MISS UNIVERSE PAGEANT CORONATION BALL HILTON LAS VEGAS EVENT MAPWinner: Ms. LUPITA JONES of Mexico.This is a one-of-a-kind piece of official Miss Universe Pageant history.This was the working map for planning the 1991 Miss Universe Pageant post-telecast Coronation Ball.The pageant and the coronation ball both happened on 17 May 1991.The pageant was held at the ALADDIN HOTEL'S CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS.The coronation ball was help at the LAS VEGAS HILTON and this map was made by their events team and given to me to aid in the planning of this event.This is the only map that had all of the markings on it that my department used to plan and manage the event.I worked for the pageant organization from 1987 through the end of 1993 and this item has been in storage for about 33 years in an odor-free, smoke-free, climate-controlled environment.Used vintage condition: Please review the photos and description to make your own assessment as I am not a qualified expert condition assessment professional.Measures: 24" x 24" inchesOne side has the CAD program generated event map that was created by the Las Vegas Hilton Events Department for the Miss Universe Pageant Coronation Ball that took place at the defunct LAS VEGAS HILTON HOTEL Ballroom.The other side is blank except for a few tape pieces that were used originally to tape the map onto the wall of my office which was located at the Aladdin Hotel during the month-long stay while I was there on location working on the pageant telecast and the events preceding it and after it.This was used during my job in the planning of the seat assignments, security plan, transportation, ticketing and event timing and logistics for the Coronation Ball.Estimated attendance at the Ball: 3,000 people.Tickets were not for sale to the general public and only available to the pageant participants, their families and country organizations that planned each individual country pageants around the world, talent and judges of the pageant and their guests, local VIPs, government officials, the press, and any sponsors (local and worldwide) of the show, the pageant, and the network it was televised on.It is very rare, vintage piece of pageant history and the only one that was used by the pageant organization to manage the Coronation Ball. Once the event and the pageant were over, the map was folded and packed into my luggage and when I left the job in 1993 to go work for another organization it was something that was still in my storage box. Some slight aging and wear of the paper and printed elementsSome tape remnants on the edges.Some folds.Handwritten notations about where the individual country tables are located along with an orange highlighter that was used to mark where those tables were located.The outlined area around the group of tables near the middle of the map is the designated VIP area for judges, their guests, hosts, celebrities, any current or past organization pageant titleholder winners, and top sponsors and executive staff and hosting committee members.The stage, the entrance, the bars, the buffets, the lighting are all designated on the map.Selling as-is.
