This beautiful violin was made entirely of aged quality Italian spruce and Bosnian maple in the old Italian style. This amazing violin has a rare and highly desirable one piece back. This new violin was made in 2022 in the California workshop of Scott Cao at Morgan Hill by award-winning master maker, Shi Liao, and is part of their highly desirable line of handmade instruments. This beautiful violin is a model, STV1500 (copy of Stradivari’s “Cremonese” violin of 1715). Masterfully hand varnished in an antique style. As you can see from the photos, the antiquing has been meticulously and expertly done! The fingerboard is made of highest quality Indian ebony. The pegs, endpin and tailpiece are all beautiful boxwood which is stunning. The strings are German Thomastic Dominants. The setup has been expertly done to ensure ease of playability and a great tone. The bridge is French. The tone is incredible! It is evenly balanced across all strings and has focus, color and depth. Additionally, this violin is very open across all strings and has excellent power and projection. This violin will provide a lifetime of enjoyment for an advanced to professional player.
