Description: Rare Antique Victorian Wilcox Silver Plate Co Unique Centerpiece Epergne DESCRIPTION: - Inventory # 1986 - STUNNING Rare and Unique Antique Victorian Wilcox Silver Plate Co Centerpiece Epergne - Stunning Blue Trumpet Glass Horn. Hand Blown. The inside of the glass horn is textured. - This Epergne is Beautifully Stunning! I have not been able to find another like it. I’m not sure if there are any pieces missing. - Epergnes were used as elaborate table centerpieces during the 19th century and held fruit, flowers and nuts. - The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. was formed in Meriden, Connecticut in 1865. From 1865 to 1867, it was known as the Wilcox Brittania Co. In 1898, the company was acquired by the International Silver Company, headquartered in Meriden. After the acquisition, the Wilcox Silver Plate Co. brand continued until at least c. 1980. - Marked on the bottom– see pictures. o Quadruple Plate o Wilcox Silver Plate Co. o 2667 - Measurements: (are approximate and at the widest points for length [left to right], width [front to back], depth, height, diameter, etc.): o Overall height: 16 ¾” tall o 10 ¾” wide (arm to arm) o Base diameter: 5 1/8” o Horn: 12 ¾” tall, 7” diameter - Condition: o Very Good Pre-owned Antique Condition. o Look at pictures, they are part of the description.
