Description: Scarce Bjorn Wiinblad for Rosenthal shallow centerpiece bowl in bisque porcelain, with a smooth porcelain underside. Signed as shown. I believe the art in the center of the bowl is a Greek Mythology scene, Europa and the Bull (Zeus). It's beautiful ... a very early work of Wiinblad for Rosenthal ... and you don't often see this piece. 12.5" Diameter with a 1.75" Height. Heavy, piece weighs just shy of 3 pounds. White matte bisque porcelain on top side, with a finished porcelain underside. Concentric circles give an Art Deco feel to me ... the piece would display wonderfully in a clean modernist interior. It's in Near Mint, as I can find no mentionable flaws.
