Description: PLEASE NOTE: Payment by PAYPAL is due within FOUR (4) days after this eBay listing ends. eBay will AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL TRANSACTION on Day 5. Here is a terrific lot from a nice Pan American Exposition collection that I have on eBay right now! This is a rare Registered Mail cover with two 4cent Scott #296 and a 2cent Scott 286 Trans-Mississippi stamp on the front which was sent from Providence, Rhode Island to Cleveland, Ohio on January 2, 1902, two months after the Pan American Exposition closed. And as you can see, the back has THREE terrific BC11 red, white, and blue "running bison" cinderella stmaps that are BEAUTIFULLY affixed along the flap which makes it wonderfully collectible. It has a January 29, 1902 receiving cancel / date stamp on the reverse as well. By the way, the stamp identifying number (BCx) used in this description is from the high quality book called Buffalo Cinderellas. This terrific publication, which won an American Philatelic Society gold medal award, contains the fascinating stories of the two men who are most associated with the awesome souvenir stamps issued for the 1901 Pan American Exposition. If you are a fan or collector of the Pan American Exposition, you will certainly enjoy the fantastic award wining book!A marvelous deluxe publication, Buffalo Cinderellas is an unparalleled, extremely detailed, fully illustrated hardcover with over 400 images, over half of which are in vivid color! The book is an invaluable asset to those who collect these treasures, and you can find it in my eBay Store right now; there are a few Standard Classic Edition books still available at this time! Background: The electrifying 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York offered a spirited message of hope and possibility. Over eight million people flocked to the spectacular Pan Am, and there were substantial opportunities for businessmen to profit. Two very different people did so by creating souvenir cinderella stamps for the event. One was a reputable man who sold over four million Expo stamps and became a respected philatelic expert; the other was a traveling charlatan who later drifted into the darkness of forgery and swindling. Their riviting stories and adventures jump off the pages. And the items they created, that are an ever increasing attraction to stamp collectors and lovers of intrigue alike, are beautifully pictured and precisely detailed inside the book too!Don't miss your chance to add this nice item to your collection today and BE SURE to check out my eBay Store to see lots of other Pan American Exposition collectibles, stamps, covers and philatelic items, many which have just been marked down!
