Rolleicord Vb - 120 TLR Film Camera - Medium Format

Description: Rolleicord Vb - 120 TLR Film Camera Serial Number: 2663567 NOTE: Camera is NOT in working condition. There is a serious issue with the shutter mechanism. This Rolleicord Vb has obvious cosmetic imperfections so please review all the images as they are part of the description. When I purchased this camera, the shutter functioned for a couple minutes and then things went downhill rather quickly. Every time I cocked the shutter it would behave differently - eventually it stopped working all together. For that reason, no further testing was performed. Film-testing was not possible. I have owned a number of Rolleicord cameras and do not believe the shutter issue is a quick-fix or will be cured by a magical CLA. Squirting a bit of lighter fluid into the shutter mechanism will not fix this - no matter what the internet tells you… The focusing is smooth and works well. The focusing screen is in rough shape with some swirls and various marks. The split image actually makes focusing very easy even though the screen has seen better days. This camera had a Rollekin installed and those components were removed to return the camera to the 120 format. I think the frame counter (knob) was swapped when the Rolleikin was installed but that knob works for all formats so it was left in place.
