Description: This listing is for Rolleiflex 2.8A, serial numbeer 1140964, shown in the photos. This camera is in beautiful condition cosmetically, and appears to be in excellent mechanical condition. I have not used the camera for serveral years because 120 film is hard to come by in rural PA, so I cannot vouch for shutter speed accuracy, but when i fired the shutter prior to this listing, it sounded good. This camera was purchased by my father in 1951 from Willoughby's in New York City and he was an amateur who took good care of his equipment. The mechanicals such as film wind, viewfinder setup, magnifying lens popup, all sound crisp and correct. (I became the high school photographer in my home town at age 13, and there we used a Rollei 3.5, so I am very familiar with how the camera should feel and sound.). I can see no dust, haze or scratches on the lenses, and the focus rack works well. The leather of the case, incluing the strap, looks and feels in excellent ocndition also. I have no way to test flash sybc, but have no reason to suspect that it is impaired. My dad always used one of those enormous chrome Kalart flashguns with GE or Sylvnia bulbs, and so I have no idea about how it might work with electronic flash. I am selling this because my 81st birthday is approaching, and my heirs have told me they will throw it in the dumpster when I am gone. I will sell and ship only to an eBay certified address in the lower 48 United States.
