Description: This is a unique collection of Russian nesting dolls. There are many out there but I could not find any with this exact set of political figures. There are 17 pieces, representing 9 people. 8 are nesting (16 pieces) plus the last figure. The six largest are easy to figure out, Gorbachev, Brezhnev, Andropov, Khrushchev, Stalin, Lenin and maybe Chernenko. The 2 smallest??? One appears to be a woman. Have fun...let me know. The smallest has a tiny cross, so possibly Nicholas the 2nd? The tallest is 8" and it is 4" at the widest point. The condition is very good. I am possibly the 1st person to take them apart. This would be a nice piece for collectors of dolls as well as political and Cold War memorabilia!
