Description: These dolls are 6.5" tall and feature a full traditional Scottish costume including kilts, bagpipes and tam o shanter caps. When laid down the eyes of the dolls close easily and reopen when they are stood up. Arms are jointed but not head or legs. The outfits are glued to the body; shoes and socks are painted with the tartan material glued at the top to make them appear to be long socks. I suspect these are Rogark dolls made in Great Britain in the 1950's and 1960's for the tourist trade, but I am unable to check the backs of the dolls for confirmation since the clothing does not seem to be removable.
