Description: Offered here is one of my favorite photos from my personal collection, an original 6" x 3.5" photo of sixteen women of varying ages in coveralls and work caps. Initially I thought this was a group of WWII era factory workers - sixteen Rosie the Riveters. Simple enough - right? After examining it more closely, I think that based on the car in the background and what you can see of the women's hairstyles, that it pre-dates WWII. None of them are wearing footwear that would be appropriate for manual labor so perhaps the ladies playing "dress up"? All of the women appear to be wearing the same scarf. This may be a clue to who they are but that would require a bit more research than I'm willing to devote to it.. I'm passing it on now to the next "photo detective" to see if they can figure it out. Good luck!
