Description: Lewis Carroll published The Hunting of the Snark in 1876. It is a partial adaptation of Jabberwocky from his earlier works. Here, Martin Gardner provides an annotated version of the text, giving notes on the allusions, poems, dated references, etc. Gardner previously (and popularly) published The Annotated Alice, which provided the same service in: re: Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. This copy is a 1962 first edition. Here are the condition notes: Book is in very good condition. Dust jacket is present and shows significant wear, including extensive tanning along the top and small tears at the edges. Exterior tan boards are very good with minimal wear and sharp corners. Book sits square with a tight binding. Front endpapers have an owner's name inscribed in ink; interior is otherwise clean and unmarked with bright white pages.
