I use a computer program to check if the files can be read, if so I assume it will play fine. Scuffs usually don't effect playback, but If a disc is excessively scuffed or has a scratch, I run a disc scan on it to check for errors. Also playback is very hardware dependent. Just because a CD plays on one system doesn't mean it will play on another. For example it might play fine in your stereo but may have problems in your car. Regardless, if you have any problems, I'll take care of it.
