Description: TurtlesTradingPost- Clara Maass Dual FDC ODDITY Cachet First Day Cover plus canceled on her birthday / birthplace The story- Some folks have figured out that I produced the ODDITY Cachet in the 1970s. Back in the day collectors were upset that the stamp wasn't being issued in Clara's birthplace on her 100th birthday. It was issued in a ceremony in Belleville, NJ at a hospital named for her. So we decided to issue a cover with both the birthday anniversary and the first day of issue. I bought a box of 500 envelopes at my local post office and headed up to East Orange on her birthday. The post office put them through the cancellation machine with the "Pray for Peace" slogan cancel. Then I drove them up to Belleville for the first day. I still have a few hundred of these. No markings on back - Never sealed - Never addressed
