Description: We unearthed this unique and quite rare 1973 estate find from Universal Statuary Corp. recently. The artist is Vaughn Kendrick. Our Indian Chief is a stately 30" tall cartoon-like character. He is hefty, probably plaster filled, and weighing 28.8 pounds. His regalia is adorned with patches of humorous sayings. His profile is very notable with a proboscis that will make you look twice! Our Indian Chief is in very good vintage, previously owned, condition for being 51 years old. He does have some slight paint loss, scratches, and a "scar" where the plaster expanded as shown in the 2nd to the last photograph. None of the Chief's flaws is terribly offensive or noticeable, but could be easily restored to its original magnificence if so desired. This is a remarkable collectible that will provide some very animated conversations! Thank you for looking.
