*VERY RARE* 1930s Bromo Seltzer Dispenser with Holographic Ad, Cobalt Glass, VG

Description: This Bromo Seltzer Dispenser is a rare find for collectors of vintage advertising and medicine items. I am not exactly certain of its age because there are no other examples, but I believe it dates to the early 1930s. I called the advertisement a holographic image in the title, but it is actually what's called a lenticular image. The image changes when you move from side to side. The image has a plastic overlay that creates the effect. One side reads, "For best relief Bromo Seltzer, take home a bottle today." The other reads, "Headache? Upset Stomach?" The metal frame holding the ad spins 360. Both the bottle and the base are made of beautiful cobalt glass. The base has a few small chips and a bit of wear/degradation at the corners. The blue metal frame holding the advertisement shows moderate/heavy wear and marks on the back side. Please look closely at the photos. The blue color of the dispenser perfectly complements the blue advertisement. It would make an exceptional addition to any collection. This was undoubtedly set up on the countertop of a pharmacy so customers could get a single dose. The paper Bromo Seltzer label on the bottle is missing the upper portion. What remains is incredibly fragile. I will wrap the bottle in plastic wrap to prevent further damage in transit. The dispenser measures 23.75" tall. The ad banner measures 8" wide. The base measures 6" L x 4.5" W. The bottom is embossed, "Property of Emerson Drug Co., Baltimore, MD" This item is perfect for those interested in the history of medicine.
