Description: This 1920's Tabu ukulele from Hawaii has fancy herringbone inlay around the sound hole, around the face edge, and down the center of the finger board. It looks like mahogany wood is used for the flat face and the rounded back. The side wood looks different, but I don't know what it may be. There are no seam separations or splits to the face, sides or back 3 wooden tuning pegs are original, I made the 4th peg. One string was short, so just for show I put fishing line on. The tuner flat area had a piece broken off and glued back in place. See front and back view pics. . Tuners seem to hold fine. There is one brass fingerboard fret missing. Included is also an old- if not original , felt pick. This is a beautiful pre statehood ukulele, and would be great to add to your collection, or to play
