This is a circa 1990 Gibson Custom Shop L5 tailpiece. Very cool natural relic example. Structurally rock solid...a very thick piece of brass!! Great for a restoration or custom build.This is from that short era from 1986-1992 when they switched to a wooden badge with pearl inlay. Correct for Jim Riggs master model Custom Shop L5 models. This tail is structurally perfect and one of the best I have seen...very thick piece of brass. The gold reflects years of play wear and is kind of in a state where it is between nickel and gold....with some edges and the hinge area showing the nickel underplate. It is a really nice naturally "relic-ed" tail. I love the vintage look.Badge is in good condition with a little loss of the clear coat....see pics. Could be touched up or leave as-is. Nice engraving throughout.The tail is in perfect structural condition and is a really thick piece of brass...look at the bend where they often get thinner....this one is very thick...great example.The L4 of the same era used the same tailpiece but with a plain wood badge.Shipping to usa 14.99
