Description: Vintage U.S. Census Memorabelia 2000 Census Enumerator Badge Every 10 years the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of the Census does an official count of the population of the United States. This data is used for many official purposes, most notably to apportion representation in the U.S House of Representatives. This piece of memorabelia is the ID badge from a person who went door to door doing the official count. I can't find another 2000 example for sale online, but there is a 1960 badge listed at The Smithsonian Institution's website, ID Number: PL235937.01g - See photo. With the exception of the 1960 example, all photos are my own and of the actual badge on offer. No stock photos. No retouching. Also, all descriptions are my own, no AI-generated words. Nonsmoking home. Note: this item will ship without tracking. I'm doing this to allow a better price point. I will let you know exactly when it was dropped off at the Post Office. If you feel you need tracking, please contact me and this can be arranged for an additional $4.25 (or so).
