Vintage Bronze Peter Rabbit Bunny Wearing Tuxedo w Basket Sculpture 9” Heavy

Description: This little guy, based on the beautiful books by the one and only Beatrix Potter, has a little bit of a backstory! We got him from the original owner who for years used him as an Easter bunny decoration, eventually forgetting where she purchased him and his original identity. Her kids grew, grandkids got older and she decided it was time to start clearing out some of her decor collection and this lovely Peter Rabbit was amongst them! She said he reminded her of a chocolate Easter bunny (hence the use for Easter) and she’d always thought him to be so cute, but she needed to let him (and some other treasures we have available) go. We immediately recognized him and had a lovely chat with the original owner, who shared this bit of story with us. He’s absolutely precious with a cute bunny face, smart suit jacket, vest, shirt and tie and little basket. He is vintage and shows some age-appropriate wear to his finish and the original felt on the bottom (see images). He is quite heavy and stands a lovely 9” tall. This guy is fabulous with such amazing detail (did you see his cotton tail peaking out from his waistcoat?)!
