Description: This is a very nice and VERY RARE ElectroVoice Ribbon Microphone from the old EV plant in South Bend, Indiana, This microphone has been in My collection for many, many years in a smoke free invironment in a glass case. I have no original literature on this mic. But, I was very fortunate to have met and created a friendship with some of ElectroVoice engineers many years ago.... being I lived near Buchanan, Michigan at the time. One of the old retired EV Engineers refurbished this microphone back in the 80's with a new ribbon motor and original cosmetic up-dates. He said it was originally a ribbon mic and installed a new ribbon motor (although not the original part which is no longer available).... He said this microphone was extremely rare and not any around anymore to His knowledge. But... it works really great!! It was made in their first South Bend Factory labeled under EV (K21) and was also made for some other major Companies as well. The microphone is labeled as HI-Z but the new ribbon motor is LO-Z and measures DC resistance of 90 Ohms.... working GREAT with balanced or unbalanced input. The microphone measures 11" high as seen with desk stand. It works very well and sounds as good as a new ribbon microphone from today!!The microphone comes to You exactly as seen in the photos... with the Snyder desk stand and XLR cable (unbalanced LO-Z) ready to "plug n play". Obviously, the cable and connectors are not original to the mic. Extrememly nice condition, clean and working well! We ship to the US only by UPS Ground. Working great but we offer no warranties or guarantees on our electroncis. Questions always answered with a smile!! Thanks for looking!
