Description: A magnificent vintage table runner. The hand embroidery with the French knots are plentiful. White cotton is the base and the colors of embroidery are very light lavender shades, tiny little French knots in yellow and pink also. The main topic, of course is the grapes with those gorgeous shades.!!! I’ve taken some close-ups because some of them are very small. There is crochet lace all around the outside to finish it off beautifully. it is a nice size of 22 inches wide and 44 inches long . This is one of the pieces I was lucky enough to get at the estate sale in New York. Therefore, it has been stored for over 50 years. We find a few light storage spots that will wash right out. I’m trying to do as much of the washing as I can, but I just can’t do it all. Of course you would want to wash it anyway before using it. Just some mild soap, warm water and let it soak for a bit rinse good, lay flat to dry or hang to dry. You can then iron on medium to hot iron. You’ll have a beautiful table runner to pass down.
