Description: Vintage Estwing #2 Carpenters smooth face hatchet hammer with good, stacked leather handle. This tool is about 12-3/4" long and weights almost 2 pounds. Head is about 6-3/16" long. It has a 1-3/16" diameter smooth hammer face and a 3-5/8" cutting edge. The hatchet end has a finger notch for pulling nails. One piece forged steel head and handle. Light wear and dings on the metal surfaces. Leather handle shows finish wear but otherwise looks good, could be sanded and refinished to look almost new again.
