Description: A primitive handpainted portrait of the famous Mexican painter and icon, Frida Kahlo, executed on 3 dimensional hand hewn wood (shape of a wood tray). This piece is a take on Frida's 1943 self-portrait in which she is dressed in a traditional Tehuana costume. In very good vintage condition with a few chips to the frame (see photos) which could be intentional for a distressed vintage appeal. Ready for hanging on a wall and labeled "made in Mexico". Circa 2005. Dimensions are 11 3/8" x 8 1/4" x 2 1/4".
