Description: Vintage Hamilton Drafting table with a Glideline Drafting Head. Both in excellent condition. I’ve owned the this table for nearly 30 years and even used it for turning field sketches of cell tower sites into scaled drawings for our engineers for equipment and antennas. It’s been completely refinished, stained and cleared to be a beautiful and functional table for a user that can enjoy drawing with the original tools. The frame is made of maple and has a basswood top. The table doesn’t have a date tag but does have a Hamilton decal and is only listed in the 1941 and 1948 Hamilton Manufacturing catalogs as Model No. 439 with a 24”x36” adjustable height desktop. The drafting machine has been refinished and works perfectly including the counterbalance cable and spring. It has a date of 2/63 stamped on the back. Glideline Corp. was a Company in Waynesboro, Pa. from around the late 50’s to the mid 70’s.
