With Gold Lustre and opalescent glaze We are pleased to be able to offer this set of seven vintage individual salt cellars. The salt cellars in this set are small, low profile, little slip cast, vitreous porcelain bowls. The exteriors are finished in a semi-matte gold lustre, the in interiors are clear glaze with an opalescent lustre. The upper lip has a soft octagonal shaped lip. These little cellars are elegant in their simplicity. There are seven, so if you regularly do a sitting for six, you have a spare. This little cellars are approximately 1 7/8 inch in diameter and 9/16 inch tall. All together they weigh 4.2 ounces. On the bottom of each cellar there is a gold "X" and the numbers "326" All the cellars in this set are in very good shape, there are no chips, cracks, or crazing on any of the pieces. As of yet, I myself, have never had the opportunity to sit at a table dressed to the level that incorporates the use of salt cellars. But I think such a table would be a very impressive setting, indeed. Perhaps you set such a table, and could make regular use of this little gems.
