Three are 6 and 1/4 inches long and three are 7 and 3/8 inches long. There are no ends for patches and there are no handles. I will be selling hundreds of old military items that came from a local estate. His collection was built over fifty years. I am not an expert. I will try to describe as best I can. Please ask questions and correct me when I am wrong. There are a few items from the civil war, most from WWI or WWII, a few items may date from the Vietnam era. I will try to list 15-20 items per day. It is in very good condition. I combine shipping on multiple purchases. A KIND EBAYER PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING: The 3 longer rod sections are 5.56mm cleaning rod sections with 8-36 thread; the 3 shorter sections are .30 caliber / 7.62mm cleaning rod sections with 8-32 thread. They are not compatible with each other. The canvas rod pouch is for the shorter .30 caliber sections and would normally hold 4 of them. None of these are from WWII; the .30 sections would be 50's or 60's vintage; the 5.56 sections are Vietnam War vintage or later. Another e-bayer added the following: You have 2 different types of rods here, both of which are US military issue, but neither of which are from WWII. The larger diameter rods are .30 caliber cleaning rod sections and were first introduced in 1953 at the end of the Korean War. The skinnier, longer rod sections are 5.56mm cleaning rods, which entered service in 1968. Both types of rods are still made and used by the military. Both of yours are incomplete. It would take 4 of the .30 caliber rods, plus a handle and a patch holder, to make a complete cleaning rod, and 3 of the 5.56 rod plus a handle section and a patch holder to make a complete 5.56 cleaning rod.
