He also added more entertainment stages to host more live bands throughout the two-day event.When the New York Times mentioned the Festival as a “not to be missed” event, suddenly tour buses started bringing garlic-lovers from as far away as Phoenix and Freeport. The stench of garlic had wafted from coast the coast!As the Festival grew, Richard partnered with the Amherst Rotary Club to turn the event into a fundraising tool for education projects. Volunteers continue to drive the success of the Festival, while fundraising from the Festival helps bring new opportunities to local school students.
