Description: Used, Volvo 1389618 / Bosch 0280140501 idle air control valves. These all worked when pulled, but you should clean and lubricate them prior to installation. That's easy to do, just shoot your favorite solvent through them, then follow with any light lubricant. I use a little motor oil. Volvo used these on lots of things, including from their listing: Volvo 240 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 Volvo 740 2.3l Fuel Injected 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 Volvo 740 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992 Volvo 760 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1988, 1989, 1990 Volvo 760 2.8l Fuel Injected 1988, 1989, 1990 Volvo 780 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1989, 1990, 1991 Volvo 780 2.8l Fuel Injected 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 Volvo 940 2.3l Fuel Injected 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 Volvo 940 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 Volvo 940 SE 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1991, 1992 Volvo 960 2.3l Fuel Injected Turbo 1992 Volvo 960 3.0l 6 cylinder Fuel Injected 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 Volvo C70 2.3l 5 cylinder Turbo Convertible 1998, 1999 Volvo C70 2.3l 5 cylinder Turbo Coupe 1998, 1999 Volvo C70 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo Convertible 1998, 1999 Volvo C70 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo Coupe 1998, 1999 Volvo S70 2.3l 5 cylinder Turbo 1998, 1999 Volvo S70 2.5l 5 cylinder 1999 Volvo S70 2.5l 5 cylinder Fuel Injected 1998 Volvo S70 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo 1998, 1999 Volvo S90 3.0l 6 cylinder Fuel Injected 1997, 1998 Volvo V70 2.3l 5 cylinder Turbo 1998, 1999 Volvo V70 2.5l 5 cylinder 1999 Volvo V70 2.5l 5 cylinder Fuel Injected 1998 Volvo V70 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo 1998, 1999 Volvo V70 XC 2.5l 5 cylinder Turbo 1998, 1999 Volvo V90 3.0l 6 cylinder Fuel Injected 1997, 1998 Other manufacturers used them as well. These seldom go bad. New they are $361 from Volvo. A nice spare to have on hand. You'll know if these go bad because your car will idle too high or low, die when you put air air conditioning on or the car into drive (automatics). usually you can clean them and revive them, but sometimes not. There's lots of other reasons your car may behave that way, too, so this may not be the issue you have. vacuum leaks, etc can all cause similar issues.
