Description: Vtg Cartapesta Italy Paper Mache Angel w Flat Drum Ornament #7of12 Terrific vintage 1970s era Italian Cartapesta paper mache angel playing a flat drum ornament, approx. 5.5” long and 5” tall. These are renowned and each hand crafted and hand painted in the Puglia region of Italy. This is one of a collection of 12 Cartapesta angels, each listed separately, and these appear to have never been displayed. They were stored since the early 1980s, all were in original plastic sleeves, many with the original Bloomingdales retail tag on the bags. Fresh from a fine old Denver estate, and offered with No Reserve. Condition is excellent overall , and I assume has never been displayed or removed from the plastic bag this was purchased in.
